Carrollton Water Filtration, Set Up Before the Season Turns

We install whole-home filtration, water softeners, reverse osmosis and UV water treatment in Carrollton homes and nearby towns like Coppell and Farmers Branch. Each system is sized from what your water actually contains, then placed and protected so it runs well through hot summers and hard freezes.

How We Work, and Why It Matters

Water treatment equipment is simple once you know what each part does. We explain the parts, size them to your readings and schedule the work around the weather.

Readings before recommendations

We start by checking your water at the tap and writing up what we find. If your hardness reading does not justify a softener, we tell you so and point you to what does fit.

Timed to the season

Spring is when we like to swap sediment and carbon cartridges, before summer demand loads them faster. Fall is when we check that bypass valves, drain lines and any garage-mounted tanks are ready for a freeze.

Parts named on paper

Your quote lists each component: the tank size, the media type, the prefilters, the valve and the fittings. You can see what you are paying for and compare it line by line.

Installs that respect your home

We lay down floor protection, shut off and drain the line, and test every joint under pressure before we leave. Old cartridges, packaging and cut pipe go with us.

Straight talk on repair or replace

If an existing system only needs a new control valve, resin or membrane, we say so. Replacing a working tank is not our first answer.

Systems We Install in Your Home

Whole-home filtration uses carbon media to cut the disinfectant taste and smell at every tap. Water softeners swap hardness minerals for sodium in a resin bed, which slows scale on water heater elements and shower glass. Reverse osmosis puts a membrane under one sink for drinking and cooking water, and UV water treatment adds a lamp that inactivates bacteria as water passes through. Each service page explains how the equipment works and what it will and will not do.

    Water Softeners

Ion-exchange softeners sized by hardness and daily use, with a metered valve and a clean drain setup, installed ahead of the hot months when scale builds fastest.

  • Reverse Osmosis

An under-sink reverse osmosis system gives your kitchen a dedicated tap of low-mineral drinking water, with filters you can change on a simple seasonal schedule.

  • UV Water Treatment

A lamp-and-chamber system that inactivates bacteria and viruses as water enters your home, sized to your flow and paired with the right pre-filter.

A Water Treatment Company That Explains the Why

We are a small Carrollton company that installs water treatment equipment and nothing else. That focus lets us talk in specifics: why catalytic carbon handles chloramine better than standard carbon, why a softener resin bed needs the right salt setting, why a UV lamp needs a sediment filter ahead of it.

Our work follows the calendar. Late summer can bring an earthy taste to lake-fed water, winter can freeze lines in a garage, and spring is the natural time to refresh filters before heavy summer use. We plan installs and upkeep around those shifts so your system keeps working instead of falling behind.

What Moves the Price of a System

No two homes need the same setup, so a fixed price would mean guessing. These are the things that change the number on your quote, and we walk through each one by phone and on paper.

Standard professional installation is included for qualifying homes. Your written quote spells out what qualifies and lists every part and labor item before any work is scheduled.

Type of system
Putting a reverse osmosis unit under one sink takes less hardware and labor than adding a carbon tank where water enters your home. Combining two systems, for example softening water before it reaches a filter, means more equipment and more pipe work.
Capacity and flow
Tank and media size follow your household's water use and the number of bathrooms. An undersized tank drops pressure in the shower and wears out sooner.
Where the main line runs
A clean, reachable line in the garage is straightforward. A line behind finished walls or in a tight closet takes more time and fittings.
Drain and power access
Softeners and RO systems need a drain, and UV lamps need an outlet. Adding either one is part of the labor.
Freeze protection
Equipment in an unheated garage may need insulation or a cover to get through a hard freeze. We price that in rather than leave it out.

How a Job Runs, Start to Finish

Most of the planning happens before install day, so the day itself is short and predictable.

  1. 1

    Talk it through by phone

Describe what you notice: an odd taste, spots on dishes, scale in the kettle or concern about older pipes. A few quick details about your plumbing help us plan the visit and pick a time that works.

  2. 2

    Test and written report

We check your water at the tap and leave you a report you can keep. It shows hardness, chlorine level and other readings in plain numbers.

  3. 3

    Written quote

You get a quote that names each part and explains why it fits your readings. No system is pushed if the numbers do not call for it.

  4. 4

    Install day

We protect the floor, install a bypass valve so water can be routed around the system later, and pressure-test every connection. Before we leave, we show you the shutoff, the bypass and how to read the control head.

  5. 5

    Ready for the next season

We note your cartridge, salt and lamp schedule so you know what to change and when. Most homes do best with a spring check and a pre-freeze check.

Questions We Hear Most Often

Do I actually need a water softener?
It depends on your water. A softener pays off when hardness runs high enough to leave scale on fixtures and inside the water heater. We take a hardness reading during the visit, give you the number, and only recommend a softener when that reading supports it.
Will filtration get rid of the chlorine taste?
Yes, and carbon is what does it. Many area utilities treat with chloramine, which breaks down more slowly than chlorine, so our whole-home systems use catalytic carbon. For the water you drink, reverse osmosis with a carbon postfilter handles taste as well.
Is lead a worry in an older home?
Utility water usually leaves the treatment plant well below the limits, but older brass fixtures or old solder can pick up lead before it reaches your faucet. Lead solder was banned in drinking water plumbing in 1986. In homes like that, an under-sink reverse osmosis system works well for drinking and cooking water.
What happens to the equipment in a hard freeze?
In an unheated garage, water held in a tank or line can freeze and crack a valve or housing. We place equipment in a sheltered spot when possible, insulate it when that is not an option, and show you how to put the system on bypass before a hard freeze arrives.
How long do cartridges, membranes and lamps last?
Each part wears on its own timeline. Sediment and carbon cartridges fill with trapped particles and spent media, so they are swapped on a regular interval that gets shorter in a busy home. An RO membrane outlasts its prefilters, and a UV lamp loses strength well before it goes dark. After the install, we record the change dates for every part in your system.
When is the best season to install?
Spring and fall are the easiest to book. A spring install puts fresh media in place before summer demand peaks, and a fall install leaves room to add freeze protection before the first cold snap. We install year-round, but scheduling ahead of those shifts keeps the work relaxed.
Is installation part of the price?
Standard professional installation comes included for qualifying homes. If a job needs added plumbing, a new drain or an outlet, those items appear on their own lines in the written quote, so nothing comes as a surprise.
Is the installation covered once the job is done?
Yes. Our installs carry a 1-year workmanship warranty on installation-related defects, which means problems that come from how we put the system in, such as a fitting or connection we made. Cartridges, salt and lamps are wear items that follow their own replacement schedule.
